Crawford Services in Grand Prairie is looking for a Working HVAC Foreman.  The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of the commercial HVAC industry. If you feel you're a "Top Installer" at your current company and want more than what they can offer, come work for us!

   

Job Duties Include:

  • Able to manage projects, including but limited to leading a team and interpreting blueprints.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction site to verify safety
  • Maintain uninterrupted communication link between the field and the project manager.
  • Interact and perform pre-construction job inspections, and job-finals with inspectors and mechanical consultants.
  • Must always maintain high standards for quality control
  • Supervises employees and Independent Contractors assigned to area of responsibility.
  • Serves as a liaison between Project Managers and the field to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications.
  • Plans project specific work schedule, helps manage Independent Contractors' work schedule, and coordinates material and equipment requirements.
  • Ultimately responsible for day to day job activities of employees and Independent Contractors in accordance with job specific scopes of work being performed on time and within budget.
  • Transfers all documentation to Production through company technology. (i.e. Daily reports, timesheets, etc.)
  • Develops material delivery strategy and creates take-off's worksheet(s).
  • Develops and manages project labor strategies utilizing proven processes.
  • Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan.
  • Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity. Actively pursues and maintains appropriate safety certifications.
  • Monitors work performance and productivity of all crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained. Conducts weekly safety meetings. Maintains a daily report log as required. Attends and actively participates in production and coordination meetings with customer.
  • Ensures that Independent Contractors' draws are submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Advises assigned the General Superintendents and Project Managers of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assists in circumventing/resolving such issues.
  • Acts as liaison with other departments, i.e., Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, etc., as required to support construction schedule.
  • Maintains a clear clean set of as-built drawings.
  • Responsibly and professionally represents the project team and the company at formal and informal meetings with customer counterparts.
  • Manages the proper utilization, maintenance, and condition of all company owned/furnished equipment, power tools, jogs, fixtures, and consumables under his/her supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • 5+ years install experience, leadership experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is plus
